Hello there. Below is the first in a series of clips from the film. Enjoy and check back next week for Net Clip No. 2.
After considering the feeble code of ethics surrounding the financial world, Laurence leaves his job as a mortgage broker and takes off to the west coast with a rogue drifter named Walrus. As he tries to sort out his uncertain future, their wandering odyssey quickly unravels into a series of increasingly petty ploys by Walrus to empty Laurence’s bank account. Laurence, once committed to the prescribed edicts of financial institutions, begins to see striking similarities in Walrus’ schemes and must face the realities of greed, spending, and attachment once they are lost in the desolate wilds of the American southwest.

The Weather’s Warm When the Sun’s Hot marks Kyle Bickley’s film debut. His character, Laurence, is the center of the film, leading the audience through the peculiarities of a strange and beautiful world.
- Rhian Bickley – Walrus Rhian Bickley co-wrote the script with Andrew Fitzgerald. He also plays Walrus, an unscrupulous character driving Laurence to the brink. The Weather’s Warm When the Sun’s Hot marks his film debut.
- Richard Cutting – Thompson
A native New Yorker, Richard began acting in the 1970s on stage in classics such as The Alchemist by Ben Jonson and Tom Jones at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. He is continually active in stage, film, television and commercial projects. He also writes and produces feature films and a new noir web series. Most recently, Richard finished the lead role of Owen Grey in the latest Kevin Kangas film, Garden Of Hedon. He has worked repeatedly on All My Children, and appeared in the Disney feature, National Treasure 2, with Nicolas Cage. His other lead roles include the parts of Ian Gallagher, The Church, a TV series, Jake Martin in JuJu: The Witchdoctor Chronicles, The Man in Origin, Ethan in The Color Of Rain Is Red, and Reggie Pope in the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, world premiere of $40 Million, If You Want It.
- Victoria Guthrie – Darling
Since returning to show business in Jan ’07, Victoria has completed approximately thirty films,many Off Bway and Off Off Bway plays and and numerous readings at Primary Stages and other venues. July 09 ,Victoria can be seen as “The Cougar’ on the new show “Michael and Michael Have Issues” on Comedy Central.
Other passionate pursuits include equestrian dressage riding and competitive ballroom dancing.
- Jerry Perna – Frankie Boy
In addition to his appearance in Andrew Fitzgerald’s film The Weather’s Warm When the Sun’s Hot, Jerry will be seen in two other features in 2011:Harvey Benschotter’s dark comedy Carl and David Crowley’s adaptation of Chekhov’s The Seagull, as well as, the shory ghost story The Third Night. A professional actor in film, theatre and voice over narrations for over 30 years, his experience includes appearances with Rueben Santiago-Hudson on the NOVA show for PBS; with Richard Thomas, in Nickolodeon’s Livewire; national commercials for Lite Beer, Sports Illustrated & amp; Dunkin’ Donuts; appearances in feature/short films like Seasons (Best Short-1997 Atlantic City Film Festival); A Chronicle of Corpses (New York Times & Village Voice Top Ten Lists for 2001); Willy Will, The Buxtons, The Sacrament of Life, the music video Unfair and Bamboo Shark, where Jerry appears alongside movie legend Mickey Rooney. Jerry has served as a teacher for The Academy of Cinema and TV and as a private acting coach. He directed his original work Seven Men From Now as a live webcast for the New Century TV network in 2007. Jerry includes Phoebe Brand (Group Theatre), George DiCenzo & Anne Deveare Smith as his teachers. He holds a graduate degree from the American Conservatory Theatre.

Andrew Fitzgerald currently resides in an unfurnished apartment in Los Angeles, California. The Weather’s Warm When the Sun’s Hot marks his first foray into feature filmmaking. Other works by Mr. Fitzgerald can be viewed here. He thinks Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer should be put in prison.
Working on the east coast since graduating Temple University in 2004, Ryan has worked as a writer, director, producer, and editor. Currently editing in New York City, Ryan has cut dramatic and documentary feature films, national spots, television series, and music videos.
A 2004 graduate of Temple University’s School of Film and Media Arts, Pat Ganley is lead editor for a Philadelphia production company, as well as a director, writer, and camera operator. Since meeting Andrew Fitzgerald in the early 2000′s, the two have worked on numerous projects together, including the film The Weather’s Warm When the Sun is Hot. He has also directed, edited, and shot music videos, short- and long-form documentaries, as well as educational films for and about the non-profit sector.
